I was wondering about this job if it was a good gig or not . What are the start time and hours?

We have no way of knowing what your start time and hours would be.....but I can definitely answer the "is it a good gig or not" part of your question: - Amswer: 'not'

The start times and hours will be whatever your manager wants them to be and those hours will change on a whim. fedex calls this "operational needs".

City Driver is a FedEx Freight local position, as opposed to a Line Driver.

There is not a lot of FE Freight discussion on this forum. There are a couple of other trucking forums where I had seen Freight drivers post. City driver does just that, P/U and deliver in the city, during the day. Linehaul goes terminal to terminal hauling freight.

FE freight is not union, but generally goes by seniority for work. Expect to start working the docks and covering vacation and sick calls.

If you have experience and live near a metro area, there is a good chance that UPS is hiring feeder drivers off the street. Might be worth looking into.
