When I was a package driver, I had a woman who ran a 1-person reupholster business. Everything she got was COD-CASH ONLY-NO CHECKS. Normally, I don't have any sympathy for those folks, and just make my attempts and get on down the road. The problem with this stop was she got giant rolls of batting and cotton and I didn't want to move it around all day and do it all over again the next day. I let her talk me into stopping by on my way back in the afternoon to give her time to go get the cash. I did it the first time, but then it turned into every day. The road she lived on was one of the busiest streets in Houston. The afternoon stop was terrible, because I had to cross the road against traffic, and then leave against traffic. I made a mistake giving in to the customer on that one. Was sure glad to see her move from my area! Hell, I would have helped her move!
