Do they still make these things? My parents never got me one, but this was the most sought after big-wheel during the early 1980's. Wow, man, you just brought back some serious memories! Thanks!

Yes I just got my grandson one in July. And it has a water feature.
I driver 38 mi. one way. I like the time to unwind in the evening, and to wak up in the am.
Yesterday I drove a 1998 GMC 1500 series (vortec v-6)w/ 232000, miles. It didnt want to start after work, a hammer fixed it. Little tap on the starter (original), and away we went. about 20mpg
Today I will take the Silverado, 4x4 because we are getting a foot of snow. It gets 18-20.
I tried that moving close to work thing, and for me it didnt work. No quality of life, cant stand the city. Ill buy gas.

Gotta love a girl who knows where the starter is.

Funny, Tooner I had the same thing happen yesterday with my F150 but the hammer didn't work. It's 6 degrees right now, and I'm heading out to pull it.

My opinion is we should all move closer to our jobs, family, grocery stores, etc.
NO! That is what democrats want us to do. They want people in the cities so they can make us more dependent on big government and govrenment progams. Once everyone moves to the urban areas, they will buy up all the land, and socialism starts. :sad-very:

The other night we had some HR clowns and a guy from the transit authority hanging out inside the building telling us the great benefits of taking the bus to work. Let them do the driving! I looked into it. Three transfer and an hour and a half later, I'd get to the park and ride near work. Then I get to walk 15 minutes into the building. After work I'd get to wait a couple hours til the first bus in the morning, take the same three transfers back home, and get back about 4 hours later than I would if I just drove. Pushing employees who work at night to take the bus is kind of silly if you ask me...

Don't get me wrong about public transit though; I take the bus to school every day. It picks me up next to my apartment and drops me off right on campus. In situations like that, it's great. I just don't see the benefit of wasting so much time trying to get there. It might work in maybe 5% of the cases, but to advertise to people who get off work hours before a bus is running again is kind of stupid.

I have my choise of 4 vehicles to drive to work. They are a '86 Vette, a 1990 Chevy Van, a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and a 2002 Chrysler PT Criuser.

But wait...... I retired 12 1/2 years ago, so I don't go to work anymore.

LIFE IS GOOD!!!!
