On message boards where some members meet in real life, yes. I rode to Alabama last year, the whole way, I met with people that I had met on message boards. Called it, "The Imaginary Internet Friends Tour." It was a blast. Doing it again next year.

A whole bunch of years ago, Steve organized a BC cruise. Bunch of people went, my wife and I talked about it, but could not get those weeks off.

There is a huge difference in message boards where people have met vs have not.

Passed through Hood River in July returning from Monterey on my annual road trip. Nice area. You should check out the Spruce Goose while in McMinnville.
