Quick question guys. I applied for a job on the JCATS system and won the bid and also got verified on the system. The problem is that I've been waiting for 2 weeks for a offer letter and I haven't received anything. Should I be taking action of some sort or is this part of the hiring process? How long does it take to send out a offer letter?

Have you contacted the hiring manager?

Nothing moves fast at FedEx except the packages. Manager could be on vacation, taking their time, etc.

This. Don't wait for a manager to do his job. Make a call and see what's up. Use email if you're set up for it.

Go to JCATS2 and get your hiring mgr's phone number off the posting. Call him directly and find out. If he starts making excuses then chances are he's waiting you out so that he can hire who he wants. There's no way this should have stretched out two weeks unless he went on vacation or had a family emergency. If you get a bunch of tap dancing and you really want that job call his HR and suggest you might file a GFT. Just consider however if you really want to work for a mgr that you filed a GFT on. Good luck.
