In network, is still about the same.... if not better.

The "push back" ?

-Bug-
Push back ='s No Votes

In network is somewhat comparable but there's less providers in network.
That's what I'm saying.

My wife has special occular needs and her opthalmologist won't accept TeamCare insurance. He is the best around in his field. Her dad and mom have macular degeneration and also a detached retina so it's important for her to have comprehensive care in that field. We just have to bite the bullet and shell out more money for peace of mind.
Are there other occular specialists? Sure. But those that accept TeamCare insurance are not nearly as good.
That's just one hurdle. It is what it is.

You weren't going to keep your healthcare no matter how many times you voted no.
Since you are the go to guy for union info on the CBA:

We sure as heck weren't going to keep the C6 plan they offered us the first go around either.

And you may be out of the loop on this subject since you aren't in the Central Region or in Ohio.

So since you have no clue what you're talking please reread twice, post once...or not at all if you're not informed.

In my opinion the biggest difference was with the company plan we could go to any doctor and not pay now we have to go to in network to not pay and now we have to pay for name brand meds but I talked to a couple of pharmacists and they said that's with all plans now........I just don't feel like it was that big a deal with the transformation of healthcare across the country
Wait until 2017....and beyond,

....when the first $400....at the very least,

....comes right out of your pocket.

If you have lost time for 5 days you would need a doctors note as required by work. If you have lost wages for 5 days should be asking that same doctor about disability for your lost wages. If you looking to get a week off unpaid then I have no sympathy for you.

Having to hit the clock, once a week is problematic ??

If only clocking in once a month was your goal in life.... Yikes.

-Bug-
And to think;

Other Teamster members (non ups) actually have to work 3 days a week,

to maintain their benefits....

It was a surprise to some who weren't made aware of the change until they switched vacation wks with another employee and found their healthcare was invalid for the week.

What contractual provision, allows employees to switch vacation with each other ?

Obviously the steward "training" that you have attended hasn't rubbed off on you .... As a steward you should know that SDI starts a week after you go out on disability so that person can't collect for those 5 days ...
Take note kid, you don't want to give your members the wrong info .. like you always do!! ha ha ha ha ha

Each state is different and in their laws I know how many days here in California that is why I put "you should be asking your doctor about disability for your lost wages". If you are really hurt disability can retain your health benefits under our plan and that eliminates the worry for a one day punch. Put your stethoscope away Doc Mcstuffins you don't even work for UPS. There are many other state plans like FMLA that do the same. The key is you are really injured as opposed to taking a week off hoping to retain medical benefiets.

There isn't one.
It's (some) building's practice.
I dont agree with it but it continues year to year.

It must be to the management's favor for some reason. Coverage?
I don't know why they allow it but they have...for years.

When a higher seniority trades with a lower seniority how do you make sure they each take all their vacation and don't end up working for extra compensation? Thank you for the link.
It makes extra work for the steward.
You have to grieve it if it isn't stopped.
We have had to grieve double dipping here in the last year but the management kept on trying to slide it past us even by hiding a posted vacation schedule.

They're angry (a few drivers weren't happy either) because they had to hire more drivers than planned this year.

It was great for the pt timers waiting to drive.
