Why does my package keep getting stuck in the same spot everyday

One likely problem is the package is in a re-used box, and there is more than 1 label on it.

I suggest you contact whoever sent the package to you (the "shipper"), and have them call in a complaint/concern ASAP.

Sounds like it got missorted and instead of UPS spending extra to make service on time they decided to just let it sit until the next day. The new UPS is not as much about service.
