What's a Dispatch Convoy?
So they were these cuts approved by the government??
We have been told here that cuts are illegal to pension benefits without an Act Of Congress???
Wasn't that the point behind MEPRA?

I love it when people point out misspelling. That means no viable argument.

When you're done putting all you Dispatch Convoys back look up ERISA Act. Oh damn. I know you're busy. Here. I'll help

Starting wage is a waste of time.
Not me, I'm a part time new hire making $10/hr, waiting until next year to get benefits and a $400/yr annual deductible.

If I'm lucky, I'll get a full time driving job in a decade, and reach top scale in 4 more years.

Yea, I'm sorry, you're right, I've got it whipped.
Thanks H&H
Yet you filled out an application to get a full benefits package for 17.5 hours a week job? 400 yearly deductible? Wow! How much comes out of your check to pay for that?

Well then. Sorry you weren't a member and not able to vote. Besides, those full timers would have never agreed to 25 cent raises for you to get a 2 year progression.
So has this always been the mindset of the Teamsters Union, or one born in the wake of a 17 year lack of leadership?

I seem to remember our leader rallying the full timers behind the part timers in '97?
Why would they care about you who doesn't work there? Welcome to reality.
Because we are Teamsters, ....or used to be, ....some of us anyway?

How would you know? You just started your $10 pt job. Oops!

The full timers didn't care about part timers. They didn't want their pension going to UPS. Ironic, but true.

He will lie like Z and say it isn't true. When in reality they can't explain.
Z or suck or whatever we have to call him here organized 108 people in the last 5 years and runs a concession stand. Plus he has several charges against him for persecuting his own members. He's a piece of crap.

Even when your not sick?
If you're not sick or go to the doctor you don't pay.
I don't why I didn't suspect it sooner, as all the clues were there???
You two are obviously bachelors, used to only worrying about yourselves.

For the vast majority of us who have families, we realize that $400 will likely be spent on healthcare before we get the second $.40 installment of this years raise next February.
For me that $400 annual deductible will be a virtual push in relation to the August 40 cent raise.

We might as well get used to it, as our healthcare costs will continue to transition from the company to the employee.
What a shame.

Nope, family of 4. I have Union run medical and I have zero deductible and an enhanced plan. So why don't you stop complaining about the sky falling and give it a chance! I mean Jesus! It's a starting point.

That's advice based on hindsight. I pretty much ended up here after a series of events over the years that just didn't work. UPS never even would've crossed my mind when I was still in high school. I'm on such a tangent from where I started but I really don't think there's any normal job path that I would have been a "good fit" for. But I'm here now and it's at least working so far so time to ride it.
I was OK with any job path that compensated well.
Working in a big corporation was a good fit for me.
Compartmentalize your responsibilities, establish reasonable goals and meet those goals.

Now ERISA I'm familiar with, some of it.

Kind of like the ACA, FMLA, and MEPRA, how many can really say they know it from cover to cover?

Also, I Googled "Dispatch Convoy" and I believe it's actually the inverse, the "Convoy Dispatch", a TDU newspaper.
I haven't ever seen them being distributed in my Local, but I understand they are enormously popular in many Cleveland Locals, the birthplace of TDU.

I think the birthplace of TDU was Berkeley. That's when KPaff was being investigated by the FBI for trying to overthrow the government. This was before he realized he could take advantage of uniform people by fleecing them out of money.

Why was my response so creative? It's a documented truth! But you can defend them all you want and plead ignorance.
