What would you do if you had evidence that your union local was not doing their job/ taking bribes? Would you pursue the evidence or let it go? If you decided to pursue, would you make copies of it for other people to hold on to? Would you fear being silenced by the officials if you threatened them to clean their act?

Every issue of Teamster Magazine has a section in which the Independent Review Board reports to the members on all the gangsters, wannabees, and assorted scumbags they are charging with wrongdoing. The last page of each report gives the secure toll-free number to call. State your evidence for the recording, but it's probably best not to mention "eccentric_crazy_glue." :wink2:

The IRB website is here . . .

If what you say is true, you absolutely should report it to the independant review board. The Teamsters Union has fought long and hard to remove itself from the days of coruption or the stigma of being a mob group. The Union does not, and will not put up with coruption and it is every members right and duty to speak up against it.

"Forget about it is like if you agree with someone, you know, like Raquel Welch is one great piece of ass, forget about it. But then, if you disagree, like A Lincoln is better than a Cadillac? Forget about it! you know? But then, it's also like if something's the greatest thing in the world, like mingia those peppers, forget about it. But it's also like saying Go to hell! too. Like, you know, like "Hey Paulie, you got a one inch $^#@!?" and Paulie says "Forget about it!" Sometimes it just means forget about it."

We are supposed to be proud to belong to the Teamsters but sometimes it is hard.
Why is the steward always telling me to slow down?
Why do they say one thing in private and another when in a hearing?
Why do they always take their picture with the whole group making a fist?
It is so hard to take them as a legitimate organization.

One piece of advice.....you better be damn sure you are right. More sure than you have ever been of anything in your life. Because if you accuse your union officials and you are wrong.....you are dead where you stand.
