XL Oil Pipeline

Safe to say even she doesn’t believe this.

Via Washington Examiner:

Democratic National Committee chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz on Sunday dismissed the potential political impact of a delayed decision on the Keystone XL pipeline, calling it a “complex” decision that will need to be carefully weighed.

The State Department, which has been reviewing the environmental impact of a proposal to build an oil pipeline from Canada to refineries along the Gulf Coast, announced this week that it would postpone its decision on whether to approve the project.

Some Republicans who support the project accused Democrats and the White House of purposefully pushing back a ruling until after this year’s midterm elections — but Wasserman Schultz attempted Sunday to dismiss such a notion.

“The decision over the Keystone pipeline is complex and it has to be examined very carefully,” Wasserman Schultz said on NBC’s “Meet The Press.” “It affects multiple states.”

Because of the weight of the issue, Wasserman Schultz said, she wants “to make sure the right decision is arrived at and the president makes that decision carefully and doesn’t put politics in his decision.”

“[President Obama] has to continue to take a close look at it,” she added. “The environmental concerns are legitimate.”

Its amazing how the "narrative" or the B.S. that is written, can influence people. The state department was VERY CLEAR in its decision. Why doesnt the "Washington examiner" state this?

Nebraska has pending lawsuits that have to be settled before the pipeline can be started in Nebraska. The plaintiffs have already won the first round of suits stopping the project and the case is moving along.

The state department CANNOT move forward as long as there are cases outstanding.

Like i said though, you will listen to anything, even if its wrong as long as it suits your purpose. Its alot easier to make this a mid term election issue as long as thats what you are being told by your "sources".

TOS.

Who can financial benefit most by delaying the pipeline ?
Maybe someone who bought a railroad & invested in adding more oil tanker cars . I seem to recall one of barry's major supporter who did that .
Let's also not forget that to move all that oil to & from the rail yards , one needs tanker trucks which just so happen to run on diesel fuels . So how does all this extra movement of oil benefit the environment ?
It does not .
It only increases the possibility of accidental oil discharges and increases the amount of smog into the air .

Obama is afraid of upsetting the environmentalists who want to kill off all fossil fuels and have everything powered by moonbeams and pixie dust.

Now 'Cowboys and Indians vs Keystone ".
The Indians are upset about " man camp " being established along the pipeline route because they fear that Indian women will be assaulted .
Who writes their material ?
A 16th century has been comic ?

I was going to say you but I'm assuming the above would be a denial?

Annoy a liberal today. Hit them with facts.
Explain why the current pipeline grid above is incapable of meeting the demand.

That's an easy one. The huge amount of oil that they are not getting out of the Dakotas and Canada need another pipeline to handle the additional flow.

It is sort of like UPS finally realizing that they need additional staffing at X-mas to handle the added packages from amazon.

But what if they might be getting ahead of themselves? Case in point.

Maybe the "undecided one" should appoint the NBA Commissioner (Adam Silver) to help him with that pipeline decision. The NBA is much quicker to act!!

Continuing, more data is about to be released that could make the need of a pipeline a moot point.

Next month, the US Energy Information Administration (EIA) will publish a new estimate of US shale deposits set to deal a death-blow to industry hype about a new golden era of US energy independence by fracking unconventional oil and gas.

EIA officials told the Los Angeles Times that previous estimates of recoverable oil in the Monterey shale reserves in California of about 15.4 billion barrels were vastly overstated. The revised estimate, they said, will slash this amount by 96% to a puny 600 million barrels of oil.

The Monterey formation, previously believed to contain more than double the amount of oil estimated at the Bakken shale in North Dakota, and five times larger than the Eagle Ford shale in South Texas, was slated to add up to 2.8 million jobs by 2020 and boost government tax revenues by $24.6 billion a year.

Write-down of two-thirds of US shale oil explodes fracking myth
