99% of proper management is never having to tell someone to do anything.

the whole idea behind instructing anyone is that by the time you've dropped that word, there is really no hope of that employee actually doing their job, you're simply building a grammatically rock-solid case for their termination
Dude you just don't get it. You should just delete your account on here and come back with a new name. Just start over. This believe it or not will help you in life. Some people need a good reset before things start clicking and sinking in.

This site has been a valuable resource for me as a steward. Sure I s few around a lot on this site but it seriously has helped me in many ways to up my game at the United Parcel. Some of these guys that are ore older and been through many things at United Parcel can really help you succeed in this cardboard jungle and learning from Teamsters is part of this.

The funny thing is if Tears were in my building and treated me with respect as a driver I would do my best to help him out. But if he wants to play little Napoleon then I'm more than happy to run him through the meat grinder. He isn't the first sup I've encountered and won't be my last. If I see anything I haven't seen before ill hit it with a stick.

and see, that's where you're totally wrong dude

where have i acted like Napoleon here? i've stated an OMS is a PT supe, which is a fact, i've stated that refusing to follow an OMS instruction can lead to discipline up to termination, which is a fact.
if you bother to read any of my other posts, you'll see that i'm giving my OPINION on the matters at hand.
what does ANY of that have to do with what i've ever done as a PT supe?

Its your little "you'll do it or else" spiel. YOU cannot do a thing to me. You can only run and tell dad. IF you get to be the boss someday then we'll see. Until then you're just playing dress up.

We have specialist sups here that do a job similar to yours. All the non-driving related office work and driver relations. And we get along great because they know that while they are sups they are not OUR sups. They don't pull the " because I say" crap and the drivers don't treat them like they do.

well you could say the same about the on-cars too then, because no supe but a center manager can technically do anything to you, but to equate that as being completely powerless either is totally insane

if a "because i say" comes from a supe (regardless of their place or lack thereof in the chain of command), and it's critical to the daily operation of a center, you're crazy to ignore it

Well, lets just say you picked the picture of the right president because you're as about as affective when it comes to driver discipline.
