saturday air

a fellow upser told me today that drivers who drive monday-friday(cover,eam,pm air drivers) will no longer be working saturdays. this person told me they would be using those from inside the building(pre/reload,etc.) and that they would be hiring more of these people from the bid list. anyone else hear of this? he told me he heard this through the union. myself, i would be very happy to get off of working saturdays.

It all depends on staffing. In my building, they can never find enough part-timers to work saturday, or air drivers for that matter. Every friday there is a bid list up for any full-time package car drivers who want to work saturdays for straight time and one half.
