Read Every 21 Seconds. If you work for UPS you have to read it. Great book, great story. Written by a guy named Brian Sweeney from Illinois. Still with UPS. Absolutely a wild ride, true story i guess. He did throw some situations in here that will open some eyes.

Read This - Every 21 Seconds

This is an eye opening book and not just because it points out few things that happened at UPS. This book is well written and deals with a man who would not give up when the doctors told him his life had changed forever. It shows that you can overcome what life dishes out with determination, the help of friends, family, and great co-workers.

It also shows some that some great people work for UPS as well as some who need to develop some empathy and people skills.

This is NOT a beat up UPS book. It's honest straight forward and well written. What I took away is that just because you can't see an injury doesn't mean that one doesn't exist.

It could be a head injury (as in the book) or a back injury or anything that causes a person to have limitations that can't be seen. Unfortunately, we all seem to judge people quickly and un-fairly when the injury can't be seen. We make comments like "they're screwing off" or "stealing from the company", or "playing games" when actually that person needs our help.

This book has made me look at how I am as a management person and how I react to my team members and other UPSers. This is a "must read" and I guarantee that you will see a little of yourself in this book.
