I hurt my back today

I am a sorter of 6 going on 7 years and never had an injury until today. Sups refused to stop the belts, refused to hire more staff because more than half of the staff got fired or became drivers so I had to work harder thus hurting my lower back. I can barely walk, sit and roll to my side while laying down. Im pretty pissed. They gave me tomorrow off but on Monday I have light duty.

    Who is "they"? I hope you reported this injury, and saw a doctor. If not, you make sure you tell them Monday that you want to be seen by a doctor for your on the job injury.
    Don't mess with your health, go have it checked out!

    "They " are much full time sups and the doctor told me and my sup.that if my injury was bad enough he would give me restrictions and recommend I take time off.

    I hope you saw your dr also and not just the ups dr. know that if u take time off it should be paid time off through work comp.

    Make sure you see that doc and have your notes. Cover your butt , ups doesnt play nice.

    Ive been loading for 4 years and i have a bulging disc now all because were understaffed and rushed but i was told there is no light duty.It all stems from piss poor management and supervision

    I'm telling you from experience, u must report it an have it all on paper... like they said above UPS doesn't play nice. Take care of yourself, don't let them push you around!
