hey I've been a sorter here in Salt Lake city for a little over a year now, and the wait to be a driver is 5 years (or so they say). Anyone know anywhere else where the wait is a lot less?

Retired from one career, looking for a job keep me out of trouble.

Starting Monday as a Sort Supervisor. I do not know much about UPS, I hope it is a job to hang on to for awhile, the loaders seem like a good bunch.

Any other part time sort supervisors out there?

I have two very irrate bosses in my building.Due to the economy and the extra stress on them they been taken it out on all the drivers.The one walks around like he wants too rips someones head off.The other looks likes his heads goin too pop off his shoulders. Both the guys need too be more people person. As a ups driver when i see this it really puts a damper on the the way ups says they are a great company. The main boss in my buliding is hiring over 30 new casuals this season. His whole idea is too keep our overtime down,and keep us at 40hrs. I understand he's tryin to save money,but he's hired so many that i'm doin less work then before. I would rather do a little extra with less casuals and get an 1 hour overtime aday.The way the economy is he didn't have too go this extreme with so many people. Also they hire anyone most of them can't drive.
