I am a Full time driver in the Central Valley, Ca. area. I am laid off with about 18 drivers. We are now having to double shift to get our 8 hours. Does anyone know if our wages are going to be affected?? We cannot seem to get a straight answer.
We have a driver working 2 part time hub shifts because he doesn't know the safety poop.....It just so happens this is the same driver who took a supervisor to court for stalking and lost last month (that's another story)..So he is the center bad boy....At the same time , we have some driver gunners who don't know the safety poop and want to work the hub but mgt won't take them out...... your thoughts..?
I recently had a center level hearing about the 3 10 min breaks we are allowed by contract in the west(it deadlocked). Contract clearly states that your 1st is to be taken in the 1st half of your 3rd hr, 2nd by the 1st half of your 7th hr & the 3rd w/ in 3hrs of that. UPS states that they did not mean for the contract to say that even though thats exactly what it says. They state that its supposed to mean you get your 3rd break 3hrs after your 2nd wich they state is after 7:50pm w/ a start time ...
They did get the kid who killed the old lady. I feel so bad for the old people who live here in once pristine homes. The quality of their lives must be zilch in the golden years they worked to have.
