We will all have the flu by the time the government gets the vaccine to us.
Where's the President? What's he doing about this?
I'm sure his family already has the vaccine...

He really dropped the ball on this one.

He really dropped the ball on this one. | If I remember correctly, Bush was president when the first outbreak hit. He should have started the ball rolling then

We always have flu season this time every year, and this is the same old story. I'm not going to waste my time with this so-called "emergency", its just the usual crock to scare people. |

So, guess, I'll change my mind and get it this week.
Besides, looks like the news and Health Canada are really pushing it, and it would make sense to eliminate it.
Here are links to 2 news reports (and yes, they compare us again with the US). http://www.globalnational.com/video/...yibsOjtZH19f0z http://www.globalnational.com/video/...eu27GYsWPiiRPH |

Let me also ask "who is healthier?" The guy who doesn't think he needs the vaccine and doesn't get it or the guy who thinks he needs it and can't get it?"
the second guy suffers from the mental stress that derives from the belief that he needs the shot and is more likely to get the flu. This is what is known as the nocebo effect which is operates in a similar fashion as the placebo effect, which is medically accepted.

World tourist spot.
If I stayed home, like I have been doing, I wouldn't bother with it.
But, being along cubans , hispanics, many europeans... why take the chance ?
Besides, sharing the beach showers, barefoot, etc. Mexican hotel staff.
And if I get sick in the US, that won't be fun.
Trying to get another flight home etc.
Heck, they won't even let sick people board a plane.
Why should I take that chance ?
You do it ! Not me. |

Whattaya say, Broward Dems? Are you willing to pay higher taxes purely for the sake of watching the portly pontificator pack his bags and move to Texas? Am I hearing a yes? Thought so.
A r ecent St. Pete Times article cited a portion of Rush Limbaugh's radio show in which he declared that the high taxes in New York were the reason he stayed close to his Palm Beach home, but that he might leave if the Florida taxman gets too demanding.
To quote a third-grader I once knew: "Is that a promise or a threat?" |

The Canadian government, facing public impatience over the pace of vaccinations for the H1N1 flu, signaled on Tuesday that it might no longer sole-source vaccines for future pandemics.
"As we move forward, just as we have more than one supplier for seasonal (flu vaccine), we'll probably be looking at that as an option (for pandemic vaccines) into the future," Chief Public Health Officer Dr. David Butler-Jones told the Toronto Star newspaper. A spokeswoman confirmed the gist of his remarks.
Canada now relies only on GlaxoSmithKline Plc for its H1N1 vaccine. Though Canada has received more than three times as many doses, on a per capita basis, than the United States, huge, hours-long line-ups have formed in big cities to get the shots. |

If the flu is due to wind down in a couple weeks, then the vaccine is already too late.
I have to go on a plane Nov10th and Nov 20th. I'm wearing a medical procedure mask....that's the best I can do. I already had the regular flu shot in late August.
If Hillary could blame Bush for slow vaccine back a few years, then I blame Hussein Obama for this fiasco. Quid pro quo !!

I won't stand in line for hrs to get a shot.
But, also won't take drastic meassures with facial mask, etc.
It should go well. And with you, too !
Not as bad as the news makes it out to be.
99% of the cases, it's just like a regular flu.
Didn't stop anyone before from flying or travelling. |
