Default Election 2008

You can just vote, you can explain if you wish. I just want a feel for how Ups people are voting. Several on here we already know, many we dont. Just what is the opinion of the Brown cafe community.

I voted for (surprise!) McCain. While I do not see eye to eye with him on several issues, I almost never agree with Obama. I believe in free markets, low taxes for everyone, smaller government, and personal liberty. Obama stances places him against every one of those principles. His speeches on his views hint of communism light better known as socialism. I will not benefit from a larger central government controlling my healthcare and taking more money from my pocket.

I'm one of the "Not Voting" as nobody excites me at this time. You should have included Nader in the poll as you included Barr. Neither Barr nor Nader will get elected but many polls show between them that they are taking up around 8% to 10% of the vote and that could prove huge come election night.

I undertand Tooner. You still get an "A" in my book because you included Barr and you included a kinda "none of the above" pick too. I was glad you had the "none" pick as that was the only choice at this time I could agree with.

Barr and Nader could prove very important in November as to the outcome of the election. If neither McCain or Obama make the big stumble to swing votes over to the other, it will come down to a fight over a percentage point or 2 in order to win the election. Most polls show McCain and Obama in a practical deadheat right now so this thing really is tight.
