A while back I meet a girl online, we talked and chatted, got to know each other pretty well....we finally meet in a local park, the attraction was there, we talk about a lot of things. etc...

One day we were talking on the phone, and started talking about sex, she came out and said that she wanted me to come over Friday night, and we would just go ahead have sex and have a great time...

Great, I thought....but I really didn't know her that well, to know what all she was into...I was taught always to be prepared for anything, this was a golden rule in our family.

So, I decided to gather up a few things just in case....I put together a few porn tapes, some sex toys, deodorant, shampoo, some towels...then some whips and chains, nipple clamps...a pair of hand cuffs...rope, a mask and snorkel, then a complete intercom system like they use on motorcycles....

Next....a change of clothes, sexy underwear.....a leash, fruit, a few jars of scented body lotion, chocolate sauce, whipped cream....condoms..every color and style, several costumes, in case of role play.....a watermelon.. a complete movie camera set up, microphones too....of course!!! a blender..... And a host of other goodies!!!

Anyway, I packed and crammed all of this stuff into the back of my truck, and this didn't even account for all the stuff I packed into the U-Haul trailer I had hooked up to my truck..

I arrived and pulled into her drive way....took out the wheel barrow and piled all of the stuff next to her front door....

I rang the bell and she answered....she took one look at me, then at the piles of stuff I brought...Then yelled out for me to leave....She said she was looking for sex not a move in and slammed the door....

Was I just a little too prepared?

Went to see Paul Thorn last weekend - This is the topic of one of his songs

"I don't like half the folks I love"

God knows thy're all dear to me , but if the truth be told
I like it when they come but I love it when they go.
I'm sure they got good qualities but the bad ones cover them up.
In this world we live in, this i guarantee,
we all need more tolerance to get along peacefully.
But I'm not as nice as Jesus and I really am fed up.

Paul has a way of writing songs about those everyday things we don't normally talk about.

Ever feel this way when people come to visit?

I am in the market for a new laptop computer. I currently have a Dell Inspiron B130 that I purchased more than 5 years ago. I am not having any major problems with this one but I have noticed that the battery, which I recently replaced (they don't give those things away, do they?) is not lasting as long as it did when I first bought it and, rather than replace it again, I am thinking of getting a new system. UPSers get discounts at Dell and hp and I am leaning toward hp but I would appreciate any suggestions that you guys may have (pertaining to the laptop only, please) keeping in mind that I would like to spend $800 or less. My computer use is fairly basic, mostly office-type work and going online. Thanks in advance for your help. Dave.

I'm fairly young and have been working as a loader/pickoff on the Day sort at my UPS Hub for a little over a year now. Back in March I took up a second job at a grocery store (yuck) and I hate it. But alas, I'm sure we all know the ails of only being able to work part time (and some of you, the ails of working full time! But I digress...) so we're forced to take up second jobs as a means to support ourselves.

I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions about jobs that work well as secondary part time jobs? Like I said, I've been working in a grocery store, but they're not extremely flexible with my hours. I've considered delivering pizza/newspapers, trying to get a part time office gig, even offering odd jobs to friends and family.

I'd like to hear some of your success (or failure) stories about your second jobs.

I'll never forgive my first time back to Nawlins' after the nasty Bia-cth Katrina punished her levees.

I was an Amtrak comin from a Saints v Texan game at Reliant in 2007.

I rode in at night and I knew that was the big guy's plan for me. He knew, I could not handle those first looks on that Thanksgiving Holiday week under the microscope of the light of day.

My life is measured in days.
My first lesson in Nawlins' - life measured by how high the water was round 'bout ya'll.

My face planted hard against the glass, the darkness protecting my heart from the ruins of life destroyed by the water and my view clouded by the salty tears running down the tracks as the train pulled into New Orleans.

This was America.

Take a moment and share.
Do you have any photos?
Do you have any post Katrina stories?

Why do I love New Orleans?

Did you ever listen to the sound of a crying tenor saxophone, echoing at night, calling your soul with first notes of Amazing Grace, on Royal Street?

The food is good.
The music....
