If there was anything good about Illinois it is:

My husband made this comment today

Abraham Lincoln freed the slaves and now Barack Obama - the first African American was elected from the State of Illinois

And hold onto your newspapers, frame the front page, a history lesson for generations to come, and you can pull out the front page or scrapbook, as a part of history.

Now you might feel old by the time you have to do that, but I've had the opportunity to live through some historic moments. It's nice to be able to speak from the heart as to what may have touched you in the past.

He's also setting everyone up for when he doesn't come through on his promises. What did he say in his speech? Something like, " It may take more than one month, it may take more than one term...."

Yeah, I noticed that when he said it.
That's encouraging, I don't want him to follow up on all that Socialist crap.

He's already fishing for re-election. Maybe he ought to worry about getting through the first year.

So what was Lincoln really like?

    He is an African.
    American?
Yet to be fully proven. If he was born in Africa then he shouldn't be where he is today.
Of course the powers that be, can forged, deceive, and bull to meet whatever agenda it is they want to accomplish.
But wake up folks it ain't going to benefit you or me. No matter what they say.
As for all the Blacks and Hispanics that voted for him keep this in mind the hundreds of millions he spent to get elected came from the the white man.
Guess who's still pulling the strings.

There were no newspapers from Wednesday on any of the stands. People were buying ever paper they could find.

I spoke to a African-American gentleman who had just bought all there was in the Publix. He said he was buying them for his kids and grandchildren...he was very proud. Very good feeling.

I wonder if when he gives them to his grandchildren, whether they will understand why. Hopefully, it will mean nothing to them because it will just seem normal that a African-American person would be elected to President.
