When you leave UPS you are given a rehire classification. I would imagine his is do not rehire.

people that leave on good terms have a hard enough time getting rehired

when he goes online he will recieve a not eligible to rehire if he left on bad terms.
I'd like to see someone retire and then reapply, just to see what happens.

What I say here I have based off of seeing with my own eyes, heard using my own ears and have come to the conclusion, being of my own opinion. If you dont like what I type either stop acting and speaking foolish in front of me or you can pound sand!!!!
If you were terminated, what are you smoking to think that the company that terminated you once already would hire you back. We might be hard of for employees from time to time but not this hard up!
Move on take your experience with you and grow from it, out side of ups.
