    UPS Health Insurance Questions

After the wait period, who is covered under the family portion of your UPS Health insurance? Meaning, how far does this extend? Parents? Strictly spouse and children? Second, in Massachusetts, who is the insurance provider for medical?

You should have received an informational booklet explaining your medical benefits. Your parents would not be covered--the insurance is for you and for your immediate family (spouse and children). The plan will have a network of doctors that you can choose from or, if you choose, you may go with a doctor not in that network but you would end up paying more for doing so. Your union local may have a link to your medical benefits on their website--this is where I would look if you are unable to find the booklet that I spoke of earlier-or you can ask your HR rep for help.
    Anyone can Google.

Parents yeah, and if they already past away , you'll get the funeral costs reimbursed !

Just kidding, but a silly question deserves a silly answer.

I don't know of any single employer healthplan that covers parents. Only yourself, spouse & your children.

You must be brAND new to the workforce, good luck on your new career !

At least he`s a member of any workforce. And since you`ve brought up the topic, the insurance does cover treatment for alcoholism.

Yeah, I see how rosig your healthplan is - you can't even choose , or in same cases, keep your own doctor, as Upstate described above.
That is not here the case !
and btw, rehab is free for anyone in the western world (besides USA). - You know, the hated National Healthcare you guys think it is.

Actually we can,and do choose what Doctors we want. My wife and I have had the same ones for many years as have all of our children since birth. It`s one of the benefits of keeping your job with UPS.

Now go curl up in your bottle, watch children play hockey, and leave the advice to people who are still with the company.

    Re: UPS Health Insurance Questions

I still got the same doctor I had under UPS with the same costs : ZERO dollars !

If you are referring to the Junior Hockey tournament, and kids playing hockey - you are way out.
The Great One (Wayne Gretzky played in this tournament, so did Mario Lemiux, and Sid Cosby. It's under 20 (years of age) teams.
These are the stars of tomorrow, and will likely play in the NHL next season.

Some consider it to be Hockey at it's best !
Again, gAME TIME : 7:30 eastern USA-Canada (winner goes on to the gold medal game) !!!!

They are between 18 & 20 ! For players under 18 they call that a midget tournament.
It's obviously big enough to sell out the Buffalo, NY stadium, and to be televised live worldwide.

They are old enough to serve the military and legally are considered adults.
You can call them children if you wish. Most old folks do.

And btw, the other semi final (Sweden - Russia) starts at 3:30 eastern time (2 hrs from now).
    also televised.

Sweden should win that one (Russia just played a long hard game yesterday).
Canada also played yesterday (advantage there for team USA - they are well rested).

How did this get switched to SPORTS.? And the term is 'little person'...not midget.
