a lot of time staring at the front door, waiting for a good-news delivery --

When
last we heard from FedEx, management was expecting to earn a mere $0.30 to $0.45 per share in the fiscal first quarter (Wall Street dutifully noted down the numbers, and pegged the company for $0.44 in profits in their "
analysis"). But Friday morning, FedEx revealed that it will probably earn quite a bit more than that -- $0.58 a share -- and investors are eagerly signing for the delivery, bidding shares up nearly 6%.
