Colin Patterson’s love of fishing has somehow evolved into doing good works. Now, he has become one of only a handful in the United States recognized by UPS for his volunteerism.

Patterson was named a finalist for UPS’s global community service award. Nominations were solicited from 420,000 UPS employees around the world. There were six finalists named across the United States — one per region — and Patterson received the nod for the Southwest Region.
