Earnings Preview: Economy, fuel to affect UPS earnings - CNN Money
Atlanta-based UPS, the world's largest shipping company, was hit hard in the first quarter by high fuel costs, a weakening U.S. economy and lower-than-expected domestic package volume.
In February, the company warned those three factors were impacting its bottom line more than it originally anticipated. Then earlier this month, the company lowered its first-quarter earnings expectations.
