UPS recently lost a computer tape with names and personal details of 188,000 college students, most from Colorado.

Usually when data like this is shipped, it is in a special encoded format that an average person would have no way to see whats on them. You would also need special equipment to read this data. I don't think anybody has anything to worry about, this data was probably a "fallout" that was thrown in a dumpster somewhere or in overgoods. Just like Citicorp. Also, other delivery companies have lost data like this too.
