UPS settles patent suit with Katz - Atlanta Business Chronicle
United Parcel Service Inc. has paid an undisclosed amount to Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing LP to dismiss a patent infringement lawsuit.

Atlanta-based UPS (NYSE: UPS) paid the undisclosed sum for a nonexclusive license under a comprehensive portfolio of patents that Katz owns relating to interactive voice applications, according to Los Angeles-based Ronald A. Katz Technology Licensing. The nonexclusive license covers services such as customer service delivered through automated systems and live agents.
