Default name that car

Car names have always intrigued me.
remember when ford was into the cowboy kick?
bronco,ranger,mustang,pinto...I always felt they
should`ve came out with the ultimate mustang...
the outlaw...anyways,the weirdest car names
come from volkswagen, jetta, sirocco, and what the hell
is a toureg? Then theres suzuki, swift? hardly. What about that little jeepy thing they made the sideswipe....
Recently Dodge/chrysler has got into the weapons
craze,magnum,crossfire,caliber,the next ones gonna
replace the neon,called the misfire.
Food for thought.

How about the Ford thing of all most models starting with a "F". Falcon, Fairlane, F-150, Futura before the cowboy craze.

because way back then they thought that since ford started with F the name had to roll off your tounge...
but nowadays anything goes
what sounds more impressive,F150,Titan,Ram,Tundra,...
not that anyone buys a vehicle because it has a nice name...

I too and dont know why, have always loved Car names.
I liked fords names had many of them including the comet. pinto, mustang, galaxy, fairlane and falcon. , but I love Dodge/chrysler. Charger, Challenger, Demon, superbee, Duster, Road Runner, barracuda, mean sounding names......and now, Ram, Nitro, Magnum, and Rumble bee.

I was named after a car commercial in 1958. My Dad said, he wanted to name me June after a dodge commercial that came out when I was born in January, it said "just like having June in January" Wish I could find the commercial. Since he isnt here to tell me what car it was an advertisement for. Mom wanted me named Julie, but Dad won.

Tooner,I did a google and couldn`t find a dodge add,but I did find an old Bing Crosby song with the same name...probobly
the song that went with the add...

"A clouded moon creeps across the clouded sky
Winds of January sigh and moan
And yet it's June.
I can see a sky of blue
Dear the miracle is due to you.
Just you.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love
It always is spring in my heart
with you in my arms.
The snow is just white blossoms
that fall from above.
And here is the reason, my dear,
Your magical charms.
The night is cold
The trees are bare
But I can feel the scent of roses in the air.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love.
But only because I'm in love with you.

Oh the night is cold!
Won't it be to bear?
But I can feel the scent of roses in the air.
It's June in January
Because I'm in love
But only because I'm in love with you."

I think your dad just liked this song

Really, Dean was born right down the road from me, Steubenville, ohio. I can remember watching Dean Martin show with my dad, when I was a wee youngster. Thanks for the post, I really like my name now. Gives me that warm fuzzy feeling.

Ok back on track here...what about the ford probe...hmmm
suzuki esteem? ford aspire...hmm low aspirations there...AMC
used to be up there with GM and Ford...their last efforts were
the gremlin and the pacer...no wonder.I owned 2 1964 rambler
americans way back when.Someone should remake the AMX.
bring it up to date, like they did with the charger, challenger,
mustang,and camaro...heres a thumbnail for you young-uns

The Ford "PROBE".
A guy calls up a girl to ask her out for a date. He just bought a new car and thought she would be impressed. He said, " I just got a new PROBE would you like to go for a ride", she hung up on him.
