There is the possibility of closing my center and we would go somewhere else. Also close SB night sort, 1 of SF's 4 centers, close Santa rosa center,etc. Have you heard anything? Discussed at meeting this AM in SJ.

my point is - regarding the 22.3 inside/out bidding - is that because they are different articles, and that Article 40 clearly states that everything within that article overrides everything else within the contract - which is clearly stated in the preface - the Article 40 progression is entirely seperate from Article 41.

You have to think about this one to understand it clearly. at least from how i've had it explained. And believe me, I bitched and moaned to both union reps and management. If you enter the Air operation, you enter a new progression and this progression clearly overrides ANY OTHERS as is prefaced in the very first paragraph of Article 40.

If you enter Air operations, no matter who it is, you are "placed into the progression". You even said it yourself if you read back into your own posts! "slotted into progression by seniority" ! Read the language with an open mind rather than inside the Teamster box. It's pretty clear, actually! Not to say I agree, because it's absoutely asinine. But thats what the Teamsters and UPS have come to agreement on.
