Thanks for your comment. I wanted to highlight (and I did allude to it) that three of today's kids couldn't fit in the space that 3 kids could fit into , thirty years ago. For whatever reasons, and you can take your pick, kids are just heavier today. Another reason why we moved into bigger vehicles.
