Since I'm already receiving gifts from customers I'm turning it around and re-gifting these. Gotta tell ya some customers have great taste when it comes to cookies and candy. By doing this I'm shortening my shopping list.
Have any of you done the same? or is it gone by the time you return to the building? |

I take care of my helper courtesy of my customers' generosity. I have a fairly short gift list as my kids are in their 20's and cash is what they really want. I do keep gift certificates to local restaurants and lottery tickets as I am hoping that I will win and not have to enter my 20th year. |

delivered to it for many years. He was very well liked and received so many presents from all of the shopkeepers that he never had to buy a single gift on his own to give out. Must be nice...

And speaking of anniversaries, we had just moved into this house and I was doing a lot of gardening when our first anniversary rolled around. I received a brand new, shiny, red wheelbarrow for the occasion.

But you know what's messed up? If she gives him a tool that is useful around the house he usually likes it.
It's not fair I tell ya! |

It's not fair I tell ya! | Guys like practical gifts. They don't like candles, soaps, decorator items, pictures or clothes. We do. Males like tools, man toys, tickets and subscriptions to things.
Actually, I wouldn't mind a gift certificate from the Home Depot or Black and Decker. I like woodworking and miniatures, so just let me pick out my own power tools, thank you very much!!!
I do the yardwork and somehow need to get across to someone that
a summer anniversary doesn't necessarily mean a new lawnmower! In other words:
It's not difficult to make a woman happy.
A man only needs to be:
1. a friend
2. a companion
3. a lover
4. a brother
5. a father
6. a master
7. a chef
8. an electrician
9. a carpenter
10. a plumber
11. a mechanic
12. a decorator
13. a stylist
14. a psychologist
15. a pest exterminator
16. a psychiatrist
17. a healer
18. a good listener
19. an organizer
20. a good father
21. very clean
22. sympathetic
23. athletic
24. warm
25. attentive
26. gallant
27. intelligent
29. funny
30. creative
31. tender
32. strong
33. understanding
34. tolerant
35. prudent
36. ambitious
37. capable
38. courageous
39. determined
40. true
41. dependable
42. passionate
43. compassionate
WITHOUT FORGETTING TO:
45. give her compliments regularly
46. love shopping
47. be honest
48. be rich
49. never stress her out
50. not look at another woman
AND AT THE SAME TIME, YOU MUST ALSO:
51. give her lots of attention, but expect little yourself
52. give her lots of time, especially time for herself
53. give her lots of space, never worrying about where she
goes
IT IS VERY IMPORTANT:
54. Never to forget:
* birthdays
* anniversaries
* arrangements she makes
HOW TO MAKE A MAN HAPPY
1. Show up scantily clad
2. Bring food
...and people wonder why men and women are so different.

At least you were smart enough to give her something that wouldn't hurt when she threw it at you. I gave my wife a mop for Christmas one year and she.... well we won't go there.
