new combo job

I just took a combo job. Question I have is can I bump part-timers at the end of the shift for more time or do I just have to accept it when they tell me I can't go over 8 hours

Combo jobs are just a 40 hr week unless they ask u to work more.

Isn't 40 hours enough? Why bump a part-timer? They need to earn a living too. }
