I did the research today. On The Man From U.N.C.L.E, the acronym stands for United Network Command for Law Enforcement.

The enemy of UNCLE was called T.H.R.U.S.H. and that acronym stands for Technical Hierarchy for the Removal of Undesirables and the Subjugation of Humanity.
