he might require you to buy one 3.99 at walmart, or he might have them in stock.
I know our new 57's before I left had them installed from the factory they were
flat on the dash and are plugged up, just remove the plug and insert ciggy adaptor. |

Keep bringing your radio and make sure it is secured. If she persists, file a harassment grievance against her. You will win and that will be in her file her whole career. |

I still carry a crystal radio set, with a spare germanium diode.
With proper connections to the pkg car's battery, I can send a wireless telegraph message.

PAX | I built a few in my lifetime. I still have one that I helped my daughter build for her science fair. They don't need batteries. just a good antenna and ground.

LOL! | I had a small crystal set as a kid. I remember clipping the thing to the metal heat register to get better reception. The best thing about them was they required no batteries. It just occurred to me that I'm old...

LOL! | Lol, I'm 25, and I remember building crystal radios as a kid. I hope that doesn't make me seem older than I really am.
As far as my original question goes I am not really looking to file on her or even call the corporate line just yet. She isn't a bad person, just bordline dumb. I just wanted a good part of the contract to reference to in order to get my point across. When I offered to get a steward to tell her what I just said she let me take my radio so maybe the issue is now dead. If push comes to shove I will persue a grievance, but I highly doubt it will come to that. Thanks everyone for your input! |

I think she was talking about me.
She's my transistor sister
With a radio on her arm
No one can resist her
Cause she's loaded with
A musical charm
It's Presley, Darin, and U.S.Bonds
And it's Fats and Connie and Orbison
She's my transistor sister
Playing her radio
Yeah, now early in
The morning til late at night
She's in tune with the local D.J.s
Sings all the words to the latest hits
Right along with the records they play
Whoa, oh, transistor sister
Log on to kill this message.
Transistor sister
Transistor sister
Playing her radio, whoa, oh
She's my transistor sister
Boy, you've got to love her a lot
The guys just can't resist her
With a fifteen thousand watt
If you got it right you get no static
The time and weather is automatic
My transistor sister, playing her radio
Yeah, now early in
The morning til late at night
She's in tune with the local D.J.s
Sings all the words to the latest hits
Right along with the records they play
Whoa, oh, transistor sister
Transistor sister
Transistor sister
Playing her radio
Whoa, transistor sister
Playing her radio, whoa, oh
Transistor sister
Playing her radio........

Women in management (from my experience and not all of them) seem to think they need to be a little more abrasive with the workers to get respect. As long as I have been working at UPS (19 years 4 months) I have seen radios come and go. Some management allows it, others don't. Once again, I am not talking about all female management. And I am sure there are plenty of male management that don't allow radios either. I think I saw something in the contract about feeders and radios. |

I know that it definitely helps to pass the time. When I was a helper, conversation tended to be running on empty when you were with your driver for 5-8 hours a day for 30+ straight days.

I am currently trying to explore my best options for a radio and connection setup. My P12 has two cigarette lighter outlets but they are not hot and receive no power through them. | Try this. Open the battery compartment and see if there is a fuse holder on top of the batteries. If there is, check to see if there is a fuse in it. My p700 has the posts under the dash, but when I checked to see if it had power, it did not. I spent my 10 minute break one day searching for the reason and finally found the empty fuse holder at the battery. Put a 10a fuse in it the next day and have had power ever since. Good luck |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Radios in package cars guys, we all need to be real careful when wiring these radios in the pkge cars. if they are not correctly they could cause a fire and then they demand for all the radios to be removed. there is power available underneath the dash in every pkge car even the old ones. do not have any wires on display to be tripped over or in the way when the mechanics are doin repairs. if you are in good with your mechanic give him a little something to help u get it properly installed. if you are doing it yourself make sure you put a fusible link somewhere on the positive side and make sure you dont route the wires somewhere they will be crimped by metal, this is what will cause a fire. i have installed many car audio systems so if you ha | |
