Excellent!!

I've had cover drivers that have been rude..not slightly rude..but just flagrantly obnoxious. I've thought about reversing the load..but its so much faster to flip the labels down |

Even with FindBC that would be a major PITA. Reverse order would be fun to try, perhaps on April first. It wouldn't be so bad for the driver, if it was stop for stop reverse. |

My Preloader wasn't mad at me, its just that IE decided to change the route without telling me. Their way would not work, I had to reload it myself before I hit the road. We got the load changed back to the way it should be the next day, IE's way would have me missing businesses or breaking off trace all day. |

If I had tried that reverse load thing (which is pure genius!) he would still be in the building today complaining about it and how he couldn't do it. A good preloader is worth their weight in gold. Can make or break a drivers day. And if it's a bad load, that driver will be complaining ALL day long. |

On that note, doing the little things during the year and then making sure to take care of your loader at Christmas go a long way to making your life so much easier.

We are supposed to add comments to the diad when a misload creates service failures and/or having to go back to a stop. The reverse load sounds kinda funny, but that is not the trade mark of a individual that values his/her standing as a good loader. If a loader did that to me I would deliver as loaded and let the chips fall as they may.

Rep Power: 80 | Re: Little (or Big) Thank You's... Oh come on you telling me your going to try to screw this preloader over because of one misloaded package. Can we please remember what they expect of these loaders in the morning. For some one to have an occasional misload. You can't get pissed about that or flip out. it was just a mistake. Now if they had 10 in one day like someone from my center then, yes i could understand. But one, come on. |

I think that when drivers come in and rail you just because they can..then that driver risks the chance of getting poor loads.
It's not about them vs. us and it shouldn't be. I think all anyone wants is just mutual respect. |

I try to bring him breakfast occasionally, cold gatorade in the mornings, and of course took care of him at xmas. I also occasionally write comments with POSITIVE notes. Driver are quick to complain, but rarely compliment a good job. The supervisors do read those comments, and I have had quite a few come up to me and tell me how much they appreciated the fact that I took a minute out of my day to write something positive to let the loader and his supervisor know how much I appreciated his hard effort. |

She could load stop for stop without using a Load Chart. I tipped her well at Christmas, she was able to take her husband out to dinner at a steak house.
I have a different one now. She used to have a sorry attitude and screwed up a lot. But like you said, making a POSITIVE COMMENT at the end of the day in the DIAD when they do well makes a world of difference. Now she will smile at me and try to go through the shelves and check to see how well her load is. People need to be complimented when they do well, everyone wants to be appreciated. |

Josh--I will give you $20 if the first word you to say to me this morning is ... (I forget the actual word).
Well, the $20 stayed right in my wallet as he had no idea what I was talking about. So, I pass along any comments in person from now on.

Pay the drivers their 8 because the loads will be excellent and the loaders will have no problem on the road. Kind of joking, but it does help if a loader has been on the road before instead of listening to a part-time supervisor who has never even loaded, let alone see how it really goes out on the road. |

Now I can load him without much thought to it. I know where everything is going and when it's gonna come off.
I really recommend helping during peak preferably on one of the routes you load. It can give you a better perspective on your drivers' day, and really help you understand just why it's important to get those loads lookin pretty |
