I am considering taking a 22.3 job in our center, however someone told me if I take the job and then go back to package car I will lose my center senority and will be at the bottom of the senority list for drivers. Is this true?

This may depend on your regions supplement, but in New England absolutely not. Your full-time seniority is what it is and will not change.
