How much would McCain do for the UNION that will be protecting your husbands job and retirement? | This is not a union site . It is a ups site for upsers covering all facets of ups including the union. With that said I also picked up on her sarcastic jab which was out of place for someone looking for help.

Are there health issues that are possibly contributing to his sudden lack of driving excellence?

You can post all the links you want and I am sure I can find a link that will refute anything you post. I heard the same arguments when Bill Clinton was elected and my 401 did extremely well during those eight years.
Also why when you don't agree with something you resort to name calling?
Why can't we have a civil discussion?
"Ignorant" maybe! But I have been able to acquire over a million in stocks an Real Estate over the past 30 years at UPS. I don't think thats to bad for an "ignorant" person. A delivery boy at that. |

I have two degrees, one from a school well-respected in its region, the other highly respected regionally, nationally AND internationally. I still hang out on this board despite my education (not very often but I still check in), so I don't understand your point. Are you saying that those of us with more education wouldn't be interested in the talk on this board? I usually find it quite amusing. My latest degree had a little economic piece to it, so I do understand most of the economic talk. In addition, it doesn't take a genius to understand the economy (if you know basic arithmetic and have a passing interest, you can understand the economy). My two cents. -Rocky

God bless him, but if this isn't condencending and self centered, I don't know what is... "Despite my education I still hang out here"
Did I read that correctly?
I understand he's been around awhile, and again God Bless him for continuing his education, but that is not at all normal behavior |

You make a negative statement "I still hang out on this board DESPITE my education..." then turn around and act like WE are surprised you are here because of how all "SMART" you are..lol...
The funny part is just how IGNORANT you come off.
You have NO clue as to the educational background of any poster on this board unless they have told you and the very fact that you have made such a bold generalization lends to the notion you might not be such a bright light bulb after all.
The economy is not that easy to understand. And you need to have more than just a basic understanding of arithmetic to understand it. Try algebra. How do I know? I've had 4 years of econ classes.
Oh and by the way Rocky..two cents won't even buy you a gum ball anymore.

Maybe start your own thread???
Good luck at panel.
I suspect that the reason why wives post about these situations is because the husband does not tell her what's going on. I work with guys that their wives still don't know what they make a year.

RR, you are not the only person who has gone to school beyond high school. I have 2 Associates, 1 Bachelors and 9 hours towards a Master Degree so please don't try to impress up with your education.
So, why do I drive boxes around Plattsburgh (NY)? I could not find comparable work in my career field after my honorable discharge from the Air Force and I was hired by UPS after a chance phone call to a friend whom I had been stationed with here at PAFB. 19 yrs later, 11 more to go, 2 kids through college, secure retirement.
Anyway, back to your post. Get off your academic high horse. You are no better than anyone else, no matter what you may think.
On the other hand, if you ever decide to write a book, your post may have provided you with the title that you need:
"How To Act Like A Pompous Ass and Not Impress People"
Should be a best seller as autobiographies often do well.

Rocky - don't know ya, don't know your history, don't know anything about you. I mean no disrespect, but -
You sound in your early 20s, just out of school.
We all thought we knew everything back then. Work in the real world for a little while. Then come back & apologize for being such a snob. Believe me, you'll cringe remembering the way you spoke here.

TB | Barnyard...
My question was a sincere question. No motive behind it, purely trying to gain perspective. Sorry if it offended you or anyone else.
Regarding the thread hijack. I believe the original poster made the first off topic comments..so is it possible that the original poster hijacked her own thread?
Just curious. |
