We are the outsourced. Companies come to UPS supply chain because we can do it cheaper than they can do it themselves. So it is not really a suprise that we dont make a lot of profit on it here in the states. But what happens here in the states is also not a good indication of what is going on world wide.
Give it some time, UPS has deep pockets to keep going while others bail out. If we are the last ones standing with the ability to meet the demands of the customer, then we can set the price.
Kinda like overnite deliveries. Even though UPS is a major player, we are still to this day viewed as an also ran next to Fedex.
I say hang tough, the money will be there in the future.
