It fell off and he ran over it himself. I bet that was a tough phone call to make to the Center Manager.............. |

Rep Power: 594 | Re: Lost Diad/Broken Diad I was carrying two boxes to the 3rd floor of an apartment complex. I tripped up the last set of steps and the packages and the DIAD4 went flying. The DIAD slid between the steps and fell 3 stories down to the ground. It didn't crack it but the display went all white and wouldn't work. I think the DIAD functions worked but you couldn't see what it was doing. I had to wait 1 hour for a new one to be brought out to me. I figured I would be in trouble but nothing was ever said to me.
I know one driver in our center that lost his DIAD on I-85 by the hub. He retraced his steps and found it in between the lanes and the exit ramp to our hub. I'm guessing it was run over many times and finally came to rest in the emergency lane. It still worked! Gotta love those DIAD3's! |

No diad pouch or hook back then, he was coming off a curb with hand cart full of packages and lost the load and the diad that slid into the traffic lane and was run over by 3 tractor trailers & a garbage truck. he was promoted to full time sup the next week! |

Somehow the Diad accidentaly flew out of my hand, from the front res yard I was in,all the way across the street and into the side of my package car. At the end of the day I turned it in for a new one along with my dripping delivery sheets. Had a UPS beeper die in the same fashion after going of one too many times one day. Man.I was so clumsy back then.:confused1 |
