 Useless driver position
Our Supervisor is telling us and the part timers that there will be a new driver hired. This is unusual because we already have a cover driver who works MAYBE 2 days per month. Why would the center want to hire another driver? The part timers are unhappy because if they choose to become a driver, they will lose their insurance for at least one year until the next driver retires. Is this so that the company can make it look like they are creating all of those "new jobs"? Or is this a common practice at the centers nationwide? It was just within the past year that they have even decided to hire another driver the way it was. Management says it has to do with the 9.5 rule, but i just dont see the sense in it, not from an employee's perspective anyhow.
