told me they arent hiring

i asked my supervisor a few times bout a month ago if we were gonna be hiring anybody.....dockworkers, dock CDLs or city drivers any time soon....he said no.....bout a week later i ask a higher up manager and he said no

reason is, i have buddies, one a laid off DHL driver (with a class a) lookign for work right now and would take a dock job

2 other guys i talked to also asked......one being a 23 year employee whos son is trying to get on.....they kept telling us they wont be hiring

then today these 3 kids show up, all maybe 20 years old....i talked to all 3, not one of them has drove a forklift before or handled freight and none have CDLs


just dont seem to make sense to me

Read your contract, it's bound to say in there somewhere that management can lie to you anytime they want, but you have to maintain a high level of integrity.

they did apply, i would never ask my supervisor about jobs for friends or whatever if they hadnt already applied
