Anyone have any idea? Everything I find online is for union clerks in the package delivery areas. Just curious because I interviewed for this position recently and they could not tell me. |

So take $25.00 per hour and start the multiplication. | Not so! It will take you 3 years to get close to making $25/hr. I just started and am only making $14.68/hr. And don't expect ANY overtime. If you stay local you will not be authorized to work more than 8 hours a day. But the way they get around that is by having you go on a mileage run in the middle of the day and that get you off the clock. That way they can work you 12-14 hrs per day and not have to pay you overtime. |

yes you have to wait 3 years to make top pay, get over it, $15 + an hour is still a half decent wage, hell the dockworkers only make $10 an hour and there out in the cold all night with no benefits |

Rep Power: 0 | Re: Overnight/UPS Freight Salaries? Article 26 Wages Section 1. Full-Time Local Cartage Employees d. Employees entering a full-time Local Cartage job after ratification shall be paid in accordance with the following progression when performing local driving work:
Start $15.05
Seniority $16.13
Twelve (12) months $17.20
Twenty-four (24) months $19.35 Thirty-six (36) months Top Rate
This is the wage increases right out of the contract. I dont see anywhere where you are paid 14.68 an hour, unless you are working the dock. I see you will make 16.13 an hour after you make seniority, which cannot take longer then 90 days. I see after a year you will make 17.20 an hour and then 2 years 19.35 an hour. If you are making less than these wages you are either working the dock or hostling trailers all day. If you are being paid less and not doing those jobs, grab a contract book and a steward and take care of it the right way. |

Yeah right!
I made a call yesterday and got another job for around $50,000 per year and I start next week. Not that hard to find a BETTER job than UPS Freight for me. |

It's OK, not everyone can do this job. A LOT of people get weeded out real fast.
So, what's the job you found?

So, what's the job you found? | I apologize for my rant. I was just a little more optomistic about UPS and found it to be disapointing.
I will be working out of the rail yard in Harrisburg, PA on a salary position. Guaranteed $1,050.00 per 5 day work week with possibility of more $$$. But the big thing is the guarantee. I can't get a guarantee from UPS. I would stay if possible, but I can't afford to wait the 3 years necessary to make a decent living. Sorry. |

If UPS and UPS Freight are the same company.....why do they not have the same rules and regulations? I'd like to see someone address this issue since it pertains directly to the difference in salaries. | UPS Parcel=102 years in business, billions in profit each year
UPSF=just purchased freight carried, profits?
UPS parcel employees made it possible for the purchase of a freight carrier to be added to the company. Bring in the kind of revenue the parcel side does, and I am sure your rate of pay will match the parcel side, some day.
Overtime after 8 each day=union contract, after 40=federal law, doesn't it? Why are you not getting overtime after 40? Are you talking about slit time, dock and driving? Again it all boils down to time and money. We have put it in(time), and are bringing it in(profits) |

Everyone wants to make top wage right out of the gate, shameful generation. Something for nothing.
Look what it becomes, a person with a useless sense of entitlement.
You could be in the unemployment line you know. |
