You are a reason that the rest of us that go to work and do our jobs and get looked at for everything just because of knuckleheads like yourself.
I hope it was worth stealing because this job is just about impossible to replace.
Just out of curosity what did you steal? |

I can buy almost anything i want in cash, no credit because of our wages. If you dont want to share what you took than how can we help you? Did you use a dr bag to relieve yourself in?
You came here tellling us buts and pieces yet you want us to help without knowing the whole story?
If you want us to say "oh its ok, everything will be fine, everyone wants to hire an ex upser that has been fired for being a theif" you came to the wrong place pal. Just checking to make sure i still have my wallet! |

What did you take? Did you borrow the handcart to move something at your house? Did you steal a pkg, feel remorse and return the pkg? Did you steal something from inside of a pkg and return the item? The reason I ask these questions is because you're being very vague. If you want help from this forum, you'll have to be forthright so people can help you. I can see why 705 jumped all over you. He's being honest in his opinion. If we don't know the story, though, how can we help you? Try going at it this way. I'm sure someone will point you in the right direction. |

I assume a BA was present when you were fired? What did he say after they escorted you out?
Also, I'd be very interested in learning how they caught you.

Did you resign?
When you look at your contract, cardinal sins, theft is one of them. There is no monetary value associated with it. Its cut and dry, you admitted to it and should really be glad that they did not press charges.
I just won a case were a guy was accused of stealing a phone, but did not steal it and he was charged with felony theft by ups. Of course they will have to drop those charges but he sat in jail for 2 days.
Move on fedex is always hiring ex upsers.
Were you terminated? |

I'm sorry you made 1 mistake in 20 years. Apparently that was all it took to end your career. I'm sorry for your loss and the loss for your family. The guys I work with always say that if you're gonna steal something, it should be worth a few years salary. It is a terrible waste that you lost your livelihood over $15. Our whole existence at UPS continues barring "1 mistake". You are always that close to losing what you have worked so hard for. There are those people that would never even think of stealing, some that think of it but would never want to pay the price of being caught and those that do what you did and get caught. I'm sorry it had to end this way for you. |

Ive quit doing alot of stuff when I got hired on at UPS because its my dream to drive for them and make 30 bucks an hour! Just like speeding for example in my personal vehicle my friends laugh at me now cause I wont go over the speed limit. And if you quit did you sign a paper saying you quit?

As a parent single or mother and father our children will learn their values from us and this is one that they should never ever know about you. It will break their heart maybe not now, but when they get old enough, if pops did it than its ok. I hope you have learned a serious lesson here, not just because its one of the most costly in your life but others are effected by it. |

Okay, so now what? Will you go on to your next job and continue doing the wrong thing, or can you pick up the pieces and start over as a new you? What's wrong is wrong! You obviously know you did wrong and will accept the consequence of you actions. I know a lot of people in this forum would love to kick you in the butt for what you did, but what's done is done. So now what? You're a courier, so go find another job as a courier. Start your life over, renew your dedication to your family and don't do bad things that can jeopardize your and their futures. My prayers are with you and I hope that you can forgive yourself and move on. If you read some other threads, you'll see that there is life after brown. I hope you have learned your lesson and live that life to the fullest.
