Driver hospitalized more than 7 days after attack by three German shepherds

A UPS delivery driver remained hospitalized Tuesday awaiting a third surgery after she was mauled by three German Shepherds Aug. 28 in Penn Township.

The driver, Amy Demi, was attacked while delivering a letter to the homeowner shortly after 2 p.m., according to her boyfriend, Bob Armstrong.

“The first one came out and just went right at her knee. Then the other two came in and just started biting her everywhere. She’s bitten head to toe except for her face,” Armstrong said.

Teenager meets UPS driver who saved him while choking – Fox59

A teenager finally got the chance to say thank you to the delivery driver who saved his life.

Last week, 17-year-old Cody Kennedy had close call when started choking on a piece of candy while on his drive home. He couldn’t breathe and was forced to pull over along Ronald Reagan Parkway. Within seconds, a UPS driver was there to rescue him.

“I knew there was definitely something wrong,” said UPS driver Darren Collins

Collins saw a car pull over and the driver fall out. Collins stopped his UPS truck and started running towards the teenager.

UPS’s stock gets a boost from Raymond James’ double upgrade – Marketwatch

Shares of United Parcel Service Inc. climbed 0.7% in morning trade Tuesday, after the package delivery service received a double upgrade at Raymond James, which cited an “underappreciated” outlook for the companies domestic business and free cash flow (FCF). Analyst Patrick Brown raised his rating two notches to strong buy from market perform, and set a new stock price target of $150, which is 21% above current levels.

Funeral Set For UPS Driver Killed At Industrial Park – Patch

Family and friends will gather on Sunday and Monday at the Kurtz Funeral Chapel in New Lenox to mourn the loss of 55-year-old New Lenox resident Thomas Mulka, a 34-year employee for UPS who was killed tragically on Tuesday evening in nearby Bolingbrook. Mulka died at the Vistar business during a work-related fatality.

The Bolingbrook Police Department said that Mulka’s death appears to be accidental.
