After we were past Covid, it was known that volume was on the decline. The message was already "Better, not Bigger". Clearly those 30K jobs aren't happening and this announcement goes the other way. How does a business even contractually promise significant growth? That doesn't even make sense. To me a union contract is about promises made to your current workers, not an obligation to hire a certain amount in the future. UPS has to maintain profitablity, what if something happened that destroyed volume like a massive recession, they'd still have to hire 30K?</blockquote>
