[QUOTE="brett636, post: 978876, member: 249"] I realize :censored2:hole is a word that conjours up images of a pretty dirty place, but I don't think anyone is arguing that mother nature has blessed California with some fantastic scenery and weather. The problem is that because of California's great weather it has the worst moonbat infestation in the country making it a difficult place to live for normal Americans. Here in Indiana we had a similar property tax problem where the local schools and governments had no limit to what they could ask for in property taxes from the people so in some areas of the state property taxes were skyrocketing causing some people to have to worry about losing their homes even if they were already paid for. Luckily our government responded accordingly and instituted property tax caps of 1% for residential, 2% for rental properties and farms, and 3% for businesses, and made them permanent by making them part of our state's constitution. While I am not a fan of property taxes and the fact that I get to continue to pay the government for the "right" to live in my own home once I payoff the bank I found this to be a reasonable compromise.
