2 days...a new low for me.

15 years at UPS, 3 as a FT driver, 12 as a part-timer, and for the first time ever, I only worked 2 days this week, this late in October.

Volume for our building (3 centers), normally approaching 60k by now, is in the mid-upper 40k range.

Routes are being cut at the time the seasonal routes are usually being put in.

Time to begin seriously looking at our options for 2009, as the prospect of a lack of work looks to become reality.

We have 17 bidded rtes and 22 drivers.

Yesturday was an easy day for me. An easy day the likes of which most UPS drivers dream of. Although it was a nice break it has me worried about the future. Rumors of lay offs here too.

We had been a little slow and some drivers laid off but today it looked like everyone was back to me which is a good thing. We also have a small center though not as small as dill's.
