There is no such thing as an extension. Ask your union. If your driving over 30days you will automatically be qualified.

I've seen it happens many times. It's usually when a driver is showing improvement but not quite making scratch yet.

And to all those interested, I like to post this as a joke. No there is no hair follicle test, nor any drug test they administer pre-employment for Package Car driver. In my 4 years at UPS I was never drug tested once.

And if you already have a DOT Exam and the card is not expired, then give it to HR so they can onboard you ore quickly. Same urine test that you get for that card is the one UPS orders. Something about protein levels/diabetes? Not substance

Driving with the handbrake up was actually the last straw that dq'd me last time.

I am qualifying to become a driver. Did 28 days so far. 2 more days and I would have been qualified. They decided that I am not working today. And they will send in my book today and they will decide if I am going to be qualifying. Will have meeting with center manager tmrw. This pretty much means they have decided to disqualify me right ?

Tough areas you guys work in, if you’re breathing you’re qualifying in our center.
