Something to remember is the dividend yield on the s&p 500 is 2 percent so when the market is going down you r actually acquiring more shares at a lower price. Dollar cost averaging is a beautiful thing

When I was younger and in a lower tax bracket I put a little more into the ROTH. Now that I don't have any deductions I put a little more into the pre-tax
