I wonder how it took this long. I've been watching FedEx and the USPS doing this for years. Hell, I hear DHL will be delivering ground soon and they have language in the newly ratified contract with grandfathers the existing drivers from working Saturday and Sunday, but the newly hire drivers will work the weekends.

Why in the world would I do that?
Work 5/7. Sick day 5/8-9. Personal days 5/10-11. 6 weeks vacation. Retire 6/22.

I remember reading about the old days when Unions fought to get a 40 hour week with weekends off.
I guess Hoffa missed that day in school.
